What is DigTrack?

DigTrack is a One Call Ticket Management System delivered as a service over the Internet that enables contract locators, pipeline companies, municipalities, and utility companies to effectively manage their tickets online.

Launched in 2000 and constantly upgraded with industry-leading technology from companies such as Sybase and Sun, DigTrack provides all the functionality to receive, dispatch, and track location requests from a One Call Center. The system is continuously monitored to ensure all tickets are being received and all the hardware and ticket data is located at a fault-tolerant site to ensure maximum uptime.

Numerous reports can be generated from the collected information, enabling users to determine locator productivity, jeopardy situations, compliance, load leveling, forecasting, trending, and more. All of this functionality is delivered to the user through a streamlined, ultra-thin browser interface. In other words, we provide all the tools you need to manage your tickets seamlessly and efficiently, giving you the freedom to focus on the core responsibilities—not just ticket management.

How much does DigTrack cost?

Plans start at $.20 cents per ticket and there are no license, support, or setup fees. That means that the initial cost for DigTrack is far less than traditional installed software. Subscription-based pricing keeps your costs consistent and with minimal technical expertise required for ongoing administration of the system, our solution makes budgeting easier and simpler compared to packaged or homegrown software.

Does Bytronics require a long-term contract?

No. DigTrack is a subscription service that automatically renews each year without any long-term contracts. Customers can cancel at any time. When you cancel you will be billed for the tickets you have received, but you won’t be billed again. There are no termination fees.

How long does it take to learn DigTrack?

The DigTrack system is simple to learn and there is special training required. If you can browse the internet you can use DigTrack. Simply log on, choose a ticket, and then complete the ticket by selecting the appropriate code.

Does the DigTrack system include positive response?

Yes. When you set up your account we’ll help you configure positive response. DigTrack can be configured to automatically respond to the excavator. In states where the CBYD center has a computerized response system, DigTrack will automatically respond to the call center.

How long is data kept available?

DigTrack will safely store all your data for 7 years. You will also receive your data on hard disk annually.

How long does it take to start up a new account?

Getting started is easy and you can sign up for an account and receive tickets in a matter of hours, not weeks. All you have to do is:

  1. Sign up.
  2. Identify the modules you would like to use—for example, does your organization use attachments? Do you have GIS data that might be helpful for your locators?
  3. Add users and your close codes, and select a ticket-routing method.
  4. Learn the DigTrack environment and how to work a locate request to completion.
  5. Coordinate cut over with your One Call Center.
  6. Go live.

There are no long-term tests or implementation plans to worry about. DigTrack is ready when you are.
